Jesse's Journey - The Road to Recovery

ree

Former Wombat, Jesse Brown, was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma- a relentless form of blood cancer, in June last year. Since then, he has endured:

  •  4 cycles of chemotherapy

  •  Over 15 spinal injections

  •  Constant tests, biopsies, and brutal rounds of treatment

Jesse describes the fight as “a very dark and lonely disease that has no preferences and is honestly relentless.” He’s expected to be out of work for at least 12-16 months, making financial support crucial as he focuses on his recovery.

If you ever shared the field with Jesse, wore the same jersey, or simply want to support a fighter, please consider donating the help ease the burden of medical costs for one of our own.

Jesse Brown, one of our multi-skilled operators at Chalouhi, is facing a significant challenge in his life. Throughout his 2.5 years with us, Jesse has been a highly regarded team member known for his friendly demeanour and strong work ethic, making a positive impact on everyone around him.

Recently, Jesse confronted a challenging health ordeal, enduring flu-like symptoms for four weeks, which culminated in a collapse whilst on holiday in Perth. After extensive testing upon his return to Sydney, Jesse was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma, a form of blood cancer.

Currently, Jesse is undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment as an inpatient, and will remain hospitalized for three months starting from 29th June 2024. Subsequently, he will continue his treatment on an outpatient basis, anticipating an absence from work for approximately 12-14 months.

Throughout this challenging time, Jesse's optimism and resilience have been incredibly inspiring. He eagerly looks forward to rejoining his colleagues at Chalouhi and deeply values any support that can assist him financially during his treatment and recovery.

Your donations will directly support Jesse over the coming year, helping to alleviate financial burdens and allowing him to focus on regaining his health. Every contribution, regardless of size, is sincerely appreciated.

Together, let's rally around Jesse and show him that he has our full support on this journey.
